Week 10 by Judy

What's up Doc?

I had no idea what I was going to shoot for this week's blog, but then I went for a bike ride this evening and rode up on this little bunny. Actually, there were about 10 to 15 bunnies hopping around. Don't know where they came from. This one was the only black and white one; all the others were white, but they wouldn't hold still and this one sat still...well, for a few moments anyway. I converted the background to B/W and saturated its eye a little, but it was already a pretty blue.

  1. Awww little Blue Eyes. Good thing you had your camera on your bike ride. Looks like someone lost a pet bunny and he is now breeding like rabbits do :) Way to be in the right place at the right time.

  2. I second the "awwwwwww"! A beautiful rabbit to capture in nature! What luck to find these guys on your evening bike ride! Exposure and lighting are very nice. You managed to get detail in both the black and white of fur of this adorable bunny! Good choice to desaturate the background! The processing is great because it brings out the pretty blue eye in an otherwise B&W photo.

  4. If you belong to Elements, you should submit this one to the Elements blog. Rick Lepage and the Techniques team select images to post in their magazine. Just include your processing work flow you did if you have Photoshop Elements. I am keeping my fingers cross for the next issue, I hope I make it. I have two images in the running.
