My son came across this dead wasp. He put it in a cup of water and placed it in the fridge. I found it and figured it would make a great model. I did a variety of filters in Photoshop. Don't recall what anymore. Used natural window light and cropped it.

This is really cool! It looked like an x-ray or fossil at first! Love the detail and contrast! Interesting wasp because of the skinny stalk of a waist. I wonder why nature made them that way? Beautifully captured! :)
ReplyDeleteAh, you used Robin's tried and true technique of freezing your model ;-). Very clever. I like how the background is solid white; it really brings out the bug's details. Nice filtering.
