Week 3 by Judy
In honor of my Dad, who passed away in 1999, and Father's Day this coming Sunday, this is a photo of some of the things that my Dad handcrafted out of wood. The items are a nightlight, made out of a discarded bowling pin, a bicycle, a bi-plane, and a little box in the shape of an apple. He made many more and different wooden items over the years. When I was a little girl I used to often sit in the garage and watch him make these things. I miss him.

Very moving photograph. Your father was very talented and he would love this sentiment. Funny I was just thinking of a photo to take that would remind me of my Dad when I came to our blog and saw what you did. This is very nice. LOVE IT! Hard to believe it has been that long ago.
ReplyDeleteVery touching! What a nice way to honor your father! His woodworking skills are excellent! Such a lost art these days. You are fortunate to have these treasures to bring back happy memories! I love the lighting, still life arrangement and vintage feel of the photo.
